So just to satisfy that craving in a land where no one knows how to make it, here I am who has mastered this unique recipe after several trials.

Ingredients:

  • 1 every day large-size chicken breast (cut into paper strips)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp corn flour
  • Salt & pepper
  • A generous pinch of red chilli flakes
  • A generous pinch of garlic powder (about ½ tspn heap full)
  • A generous pinch of ginger powder (about ½ tspn heap full)
  • A generous pinch of chicken salt
  • 4 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • FOR STIR FRY
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil + 4 tbsp cooking oil
  • 4 – 5 large green chilies (seeds removed & cut into julienne)
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 4 tbsp oyster sauce
  • A splash of hot sauce/chili chili sauce

Method:

  • Combine everything given for chicken in a mixing bowl and mix. Keep aside for 20 minutes at room temperature.
  • Heat some oil in a pan for shallow frying. Fry chicken pieces in batches for 3 – 5 minutes per batch until the chicken is golden. (medium heat)
  • Once all the chicken is done, keep it aside until needed.
  • Heat some oil & sesame oil in a wok and sauté ginger garlic paste. Increase the heat to high add ginger julienne and fry further for 2 minutes and then add green chillies. Stir fry and add oyster sauce.
  • Add fried chicken pieces, stir, and coat the chicken in the sauce,e and dish out onto your platter with rice.
  • Serve.

Beef Chilli Dry:

Beef chili dryis a Chinese – Pakistani dish available in Cafes, oriental restaurants, and, continental restaurants in Pakistan. It is my favorite because I love the flavor of green chilies, garlic & braised tender beef.

Ingredients:


BEEF:

  • ½ kilo chuck steak/ beef schnitzel (cut against the grain into thin slices)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp ginger & garlic paste
  • A generous pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • A pinch of white pepper
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp corn flour

FOR STIR FRY:

  • Some oil for frying
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 4 large green chillies chilies(remove seeds and julienne cut)
  • Some green part of spring onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • Some sesame seeds to garnish at the end


Method

  • Cut steak into thin slices and marinate in all the ingredients given for beef. Mix and keep aside for 40 – 50 minutes, refrigerated.
  • Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying and fry beef slices in batches. 5 minutes on medium heat per batch. Do not overcrowd the pan while frying.
  • Keep the fried beef aside until needed.
  • In a wok, heat some sesame seed oil and fry ginger garlic paste until fragrant. Add green chillies, and spring onion sprigs and saute’ for a minute on high flame.
  • Add oyster sauce, mix & add beef strips. Give a final stir for 1 minute on high flame and serve hot with boiled rice with a garnish of sesame seeds.
